Now, the Daily Mail claim that Liverpool have added West Ham United’s Felipe Anderson to their shortlist, even though the Hammers are unlikely to do business.
Anderson, 26, hit 10 goals and five assists in his first season for West Ham, showing just they splashed the cash to sign him from Lazio last summer.
The Brazilian is known for being quick and skilful, and he’d certainly be an exciting addition in the final third for Liverpool, especially having failed to really replace Philippe Coutinho.
Coutinho’s compatriot Anderson has that game-changing ability whether he’s out wide or as a number 10, possessing flair and drive as well as creativity and the confidence to beat a man.
Those are attributes which have made Coutinho and a host of other players so popular with Reds supporters, and Anderson would really get fans off their seats at Anfield – if Liverpool can tempt West Ham into a deal.
