At this point normally Liverpool fans would be rueing the decision to let him leave, and there will remain a tinge of regret.

Salah has been a revelation, he is the Premier League’s top goalscorer, and is a leading contender to win the African Player of the Year Award.
Liverpool still have deficiencies in their side which prevent them being title contenders, but Sterling would not change these either.
The Reds are arguably better off with Salah, although if they hadn’t signed him, there would be plenty of concern on Merseyside right now about the decision to cave in and let Sterling go.
