Southampton defender Virgil Van Dijk is looking set for a big move this summer, with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City looking set to rival Liverpool in the bid for his signature according to The Sun.
The Dutch international has impressed for the Saints since his transfer from Celtic in 2015, earning him a price tag in the region of £50million.
With Liverpool in need of strengthening a shaky defence, Jurgen Klopp is thought to be more than happy to meet the sizeable valuation for one of his top transfer targets, reports The Sun.
However, with other top Premier League clubs challenging for the 25-year-old’s signature, would Klopp do better to focus on improving his centre-backs from within the club?

Mamadou Sakho has impressed during his time on loan at Crystal Palace, playing the full 90 minutes in seven of his last eight appearances, the eighth of which he was ineligible to face his parent club.
He has played a key role in helping Palace away from the relegation zone, turning the Eagles into a strong team at the back when before his arrival they were one of the weakest in the division.
Although the 27-year-old fell out with Klopp prior to his January switch, if relationships can be amended he could be a strong addition to the Liverpool backline.
Keeping Sakho would also allow free Liverpool to refocus the £50m reserved for Van Dijk to strengthen other, possible multiple areas of the Liverpool squad ahead of what will surely be a demanding season.
