The Tottenham Hotspur ace could be sold this summer, and Liverpool should make a bold move to bring him to Anfield.

According to the Times, Spurs are ready to cash in on Toby Alderweireld in the summer, as contracts talks between club and player continue to stall.
The Belgian is one of the finest centre-backs in world football, and would make an excellent signing for whichever club wins the race for his signature.
With Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp still on the look-out for another centre-back, he should surely make the signing of Alderweireld his priority this summer.

The 28-year-old, lined up alongside Virgil van Dijk, would undoubtedly make the Reds real contenders for both the Premier League title and the Champions League.
Alderweireld joined Spurs from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2015, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of just £11.5 million, and has gone on to establish himself as one of Mauricio Pochettino’s most important players.
The Times claim that he is demanding a new contract worth up to £150,000 a week – numbers that Tottenham are not willing to match, and with just 18 months remaining on his current deal in north London, a summer exit seems to be the most likely outcome for the Belgium international.

Quite how much the Lilywhites will demand for the centre-back is unclear, but whatever the price, Liverpool should not hesitate to bring him to Merseyside.
The talented centre-back would be the ideal partner for Van Dijk. He is strong in the air, quick along the ground, and plays with a certain type of authority that would make the Reds a much more solid outfit defensively.
With the summer transfer window just four months away, this will be one for both Liverpool and Tottenham fans to keep a close eye on.
