West Ham United are reportedly interested in PSG’s Grzegorz Krychowiak. Liverpool should make a move for him as well.

Liverpool have bolstered their attacking set up this summer, but one feels that Jurgen Klopp needs to make a few more additions before the transfer window closes.

One of the areas that has been neglected for years is the defensive midfield role. And Liverpool haven’t made any concrete effort to fill that position even after the departure of Lucas Leiva this summer.

The likes of Emre Can, Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum are either attacking minded or more of a midfield controller than a proper defensive midfielder who does the dirty job for the side.

It is due to this lack of a top class defensive midfielder that Liverpool’s midfield often gets overrun and the defence gets exposed.

Chelsea have N’Golo Kante; Manchester United have Nemanja Matic and Ander Herrera; Tottenham have Victor Wanyama – but Liverpool lack a player of a similar skill set.

With this in mind, the Reds should make a move for Paris Saint-Germain’s 27-year-old defensive midfielder, Grzegorz Krychowiak.

The Poland international was a huge success at Sevilla that earned him a £34 million move to PSG last summer, as reported by Daily Mail.

However, he has struggled at the French club, and made only 11 appearances in the league last season.

The Poland international is a versatile player who can operate as a centre-back as well. He is reportedly being chased by several Premier League clubs, including West Ham United.

According to reports from The Sun, the Hammers are keen to sign him on a loan deal. Liverpool should make a move for him before West Ham or any other potential suitor snaps him up.

Given his age, quality, and versatility to play in midfield or in defence, he would be a superb addition to the Liverpool squad.
