Liverpool should weigh up a move for Ruben Dias.

Liverpool currently appear to be on the backfoot with regards to signing Matthijs De Ligt.
Despite holding interest, as report The Echo, it is Barcelona who are considered the favourites.
The Reds should have a contingency plan as they look to replace Dejan Lovren. Benfica’s Ruben Dias would be a fine option.
The Benfica defender is just 22 and has been marshalling the defence ever since Victor Lindelöf left for Manchester United.
He is currently toasting title victory after helping Benfica edge Porto to the Primeira Liga by two points, and he is now training with the Portugal national team.
Dias is also reportedly being considered by Manchester United, report The Mail.

Both teams will probably miss out on De Ligt to Barcelona, leaving Dias as one of Europe’s best young defenders on the market.
Unlike De Ligt, Dias’ price is kept reasonable by his release clause, which stands at £51 million, less than it would cost to land the Dutchman.
Dias would be an excellent complement for Liverpool to add next to Van Dijk this summer and should be on their shortlist.
