Liverpool should consider making a summer move for the Real Madrid attacking midfielder.
Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp
In recent weeks, Liverpool have been linked with two attacking midfielders – Mohamed Salah and Gelson Martins.
The price quoted for both of them, and for Virgil van Dijk, shows one thing – there is money to spend, and Liverpool are ready to spend for the right profile of players.
That is why Liverpool should make a move for Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio, who is also a reported target of Premier League rivals Arsenal [Daily Star].
Asensio has enjoyed a decent campaign with Real Madrid, where he scored 10 goals in all competitions, including one in the UEFA Champions League final.

While Madrid value the player highly, the Spaniard is reportedly unhappy with his bit-part role under Zinedine Zidane.
Asensio, who is behind the likes of Criatiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Isco, James Rodriguez in the pecking order, has told Real Madrid that he is ready to leave the club if he does not get enough game time.

According to reports from Diario Gol, Liverpool have offered a fee in the region of €50 million (£43 million) for the 21-year-old.
The amount may seem too high for a young player but is worth the money. Blessed with great technical abilities, he is capable of playing upfront, as an attacking midfielder in all three positions and also as a central midfielder.
It is his sheer versatility that makes him one of the brightest young talents in world football. It will not be easy to persuade him, but Klopp can tempt him with a good wage package and opportunity of regular first team football.
