Liverpool should consider making a move for Michy Batshuayi.
Liverpool are entertaining to watch under Jurgen Klopp, but their problems in defence, which has been going on for a while, is hurting them badly.
The Reds boast a strong attacking set up, with the likes of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, and Philippe Coutinho are capable of destroying any opposition defence.
However, along with their defensive problems, another major issue is hurting them as well – it is their failure to convert chances.
The attacking midfield set-up are creating loads of chances, but Liverpool are lacking the finishing touch up front.
Firmino is very good with his all-round play, but he is not an out-an-out striker. Daniel Sturridge has regressed and looks a shadow of the player he once was. Danny Ings remains injury prone, while Divock Origi is out on loan.
Thus, Liverpool should consider signing a striker in the January transfer window, especially if they want to ship out Ings.
Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi could be a great option for the Reds.
The 24-year-old striker joined the Blues from Marseilles in 2016 for a fee around £33 million, as reported by The Guardian.
The Belgian international has struggled for regular games at Stamford Bridge, and has scored five goals in 20 Premier League appearances last season (most of them coming on as a sub).
Batshuayi is a top talent, and whenever he gets the opportunity, he hardly disappoints.
This season he has scored five goals in seven games in all competitions already, but Antonio Conte doesn’t seem to trust him enough.
Liverpool can lure him away with an offer of regular football, something he badly needs for his development. He would be a brilliant signing for the Reds.
