Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero is claimed to be Real Madrid’s top target ahead of Liverpool star.
Super ambitious Real Madrid are not a club who shy away from making big splashes in the transfer market.
So what does this summer hold?
According to Spanish newspaper El Confidencial, Real are once again looking to the Premier League, after prising Gareth Bale away for a record fee last summer.
And it’s no surprise Luis Suarez is on their radar, the Liverpool striker who has fired the Reds towards the Premier League title.
Suarez attempted to force a move last summer, but landed up signing a new contract at the club and his form has reflected just how happy he is at Anfield.
After the club assured themselves a minimum of a top four finish by beating Norwich at the weekend, Suarez even tweeted how he was excited to be guaranteed Champions League football next season.
C’monnn!! Very important 3 points… Very happy for the great effort from everyone and for being in the Champions League next year!!!!! YNWA

The reports in Spain speculate over a possible release clause in the new contract Suarez signed, and even suggest the player’s agent Pere Guardiola has offered the player to Real.
Despite this, Real Madrid only view pursuing Suarez as a back-up option, possibly due to how difficult they envisage prising him from Liverpool to be.
Instead they claim Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is Real’s top target.
Aguero is popular in the Spanish capital from his time at Atletico Madrid, but City won’t be willing to let him go without a fight.
El Confidencial report: “Consideration is given the offer of Luis Suarez, but the number one goal is the Kun Agüero.”
Aguero has missed much of the second half of this season with injury, which has affected City’s title chances.
Suarez has averaged more goals per game this season, but Aguero has landed a greater percentage of his shots on goal, and converted a higher ratio of those attempts into goals.
