Some Liverpool fans were worried on Twitter about Alisson Becker ahead of tonight’s Champions League clash with Real Madrid.

The eagle-eyed Reds supporters were trying – and failing – to catch a glimpse of their £66 million Brazilian goalkeeper [BBC Sport] in training on the eve of this evening’s quarter-final at Anfield.

With Liverpool already missing some massive players, like Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez, it would’ve been a hammer blow if there was an issue with Alisson.

But Liverpool personally responded to a concerned supporter on YouTube who questioned the former Roma stopper’s whereabouts.

The Merseyside club’s social media admin pointed out that Alisson was training with the goalkeepers and that’s why he wasn’t in the pictures with the rest of the team.

A quick five-word message read: “He’s training with the goalkeepers.”

Here’s what some Liverpool fans were saying about Alisson’s mystery absence prior to that clarification:

Jurgen Klopp’s side are trailing 3-1 from the first leg but a 2-0 win on the night will be enough to send the 2019 champions into the last four of the competition, due to Mohamed Salah’s away goal in Madrid last week.
