Edin Dzeko faces Liverpool with Inter Milan this week but has praised the Reds for signing both Alisson and Mohamed Salah from Roma.
Roma were probably sick of the sight of Liverpool a few years ago.
In 2017, Liverpool raided Roma to bring Mohamed Salah to Anfield in a deal worth around €42million (£35million).
Salah was so good that Liverpool ended up heading back to Roma just a year later, signing goalkeeper Alisson for £67million.
Bringing in more than £100million for the duo wasn’t bad business on the face of it for Roma, but they may feel they sold a little cheaply.
Salah and Alisson have not just become Premier League stars but world stars since joining Liverpool.
Salah is arguably the finest player in the world this season and how many goalkeepers in the world are better than Alisson?
On Wednesday, Alisson and Salah travel back to Italy to take on Inter Milan in the Champions League, which means a reunion with Edin Dzeko.
Former Manchester City striker Dzeko played alongside Alisson and Salah at Roma and has now been speaking about Liverpool’s double raid.
Dzeko has told the Daily Mail that he thinks Liverpool truly did an ‘amazing job’ bringing Alisson and Salah to Merseyside.
The Bosnian added that the prices paid were ‘incredible’ for Liverpool, believing both players ultimately made the right decision on joining the Reds.

“Liverpool did an amazing job,” said Dzeko. “I don’t know who the scouts are but when you see the prices they paid, it’s incredible.”
“Momo and Ali made the right choice going there, even if at the time they went you couldn’t see Liverpool winning so many trophies,” he added.
Both players are likely to start for Liverpool against Inter and will be desperate to grab a crucial first-leg lead.
Some of the Inter side will know all about Alisson and Salah from their days in Italy, but none better than Dzeko.
Dzeko will be feeding info into the Inter camp, and it will be up to Alisson and Salah to come up with the goods, justifying Dzeko’s praise in the process.
