Liverpool are eyeing up Saidou Sow after the Saint-Etienne defender was recommended by midfielder Naby Keita.
The Reds are certainly taking a look to the future judging by their early business this summer.
Ben Doak, Fabio Carvalho and Trent Kone-Doherty are all coming in from Celtic, Fulham and Derry City respectively.
All three are teenage talents with exciting futures ahead of them and Liverpool clearly have high hopes for the trio.
There could yet be another young talent on the radar with Liverpool taking a close look at defender Sow.
Liverpool are eyeing up Saidou Sow
French newspaper L’Equipe report that Liverpool watched Sow in action for Guinea against Egypt on Sunday.
It’s stated that Sow really impressed up against Mohamed Salah and his Egypt teammates in front of Liverpool scouts.
The report adds that Liverpool were actually tipped off about Sow by midfielder Naby Keita.
Keita started alongside Sow in the Guinea XI that took on Egypt but it was Salah’s side who ran out 1-0 winners.
Whether that part is true is up for debate; just how much sway does Keita have on Liverpool’s recruitment policy?
Still, if Keita has seen a talent worth investigating, Liverpool aren’t doing any harm by looking at him.

Sow, 19, only played 13 games for Saint-Etienne last season, bagging two goals and one assist.
That’s not bad for a centre back but Pascal Dupraz barely used Sow in the second half of the season.
Saint-Etienne have a decent record with their homegrown centre backs having already produced William Saliba and Wesley Fofana.
Sow could be next off the production line for Saint-Etienne and, if he continues to impress, he could end up joining Keita at Anfield.
It may be early for a transfer bid but Sow is a name to keep an eye on for the rest of the season.
