Sadio Mane has hailed Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson having been impressed with his leadership during their time together at Anfield.
The Bayern Munich attacker has featured in a TikTok for 11teamsports and was trying to build the ultimate player only using aspects of his past and present teammates.
Mane started out Bayern-heavy; the speed of Alphonso Davies, the dribbling of Jamal Musiala, the intelligence of Joshua Kimmich and the flair of Leroy Sane.
Mane then looked back at his Liverpool days, picking the finishing of DIvock Origi before being asked about leadership.
Mane had just one name in mind, immediately picking Jordan Henderson as the man with the greatest leadership ability.
Chelsea’s Kalidou Koulibaly – a teammate of Mane’s for Senegal – was added for his defending as Mane’s final choice.

Liverpool star Jordan Henderson has shown leadership on and off the pitch
Mane’s comments come amid years of Henderson proving himself as a real leader for Liverpool.
Henderson has been Liverpool captain since the summer of 2015, taking the armband following Steven Gerrard’s departure.
The 32-year-old has been Liverpool’s true leader for nearly eight years now and Mane absolutely appreciated his role at Anfield.
This has been a running theme for years now and Henderson has received praise for his leadership abilities.
Eddie Howe suggested that Henderson’s leadership is ‘second to none’ and that every team needs a player like him.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, James Milner, Virgil van Dijk, Adam Lallana and Jamie Carragher all shared their admiration for Henderson in 2021, all praising his leadership.
This goes further than just rallying teammates on the pitch though; Henderson has been a great voice for the LGBTQ+ community, voicing his opinion for those who need it.
It’s great to see Henderson being recognised again, especially from somebody no longer attached to Liverpool in Mane.
