Liverpool are into the last 16 of the Carabao Cup after beating Norwich City 3-0 – and Andrew Robertson was impressed with Kaide Gordon and co.
The Reds had already won 3-0 at Carrow Road in the Premier League and repeated the trick in the Carabao Cup.
Takumi Minamino fired Liverpool ahead from close range before Caoimhin Kelleher saved a penalty from Christos Tzolis.
Divock Origi made it 2-0 before Minamino added his second and Liverpool’s third, securing a safe passage through.
Klopp gives Gordon and Bradley their Liverpool debuts
Jurgen Klopp was always going to rotate his Liverpool squad. There are big fixtures to come and blooding young players seemed wise for this game.
16-year-old Kaide Gordon featured out wide, whilst Conor Bradley – just 18 – started at right back.
Bradley and Gordon recorded three and two key passes respectively, showing their creative side.
Bradley did give away a penalty, but Liverpool will be delighted with their teenage debutants.
18-year-old Tyler Morton also came off the bench at half time, with Klopp blooding Liverpool’s young talent.
Robertson reacts to Liverpool teenagers shining
Andrew Robertson also came on in the second half, and took to Instagram to send a message about their performances.
Robertson called the young Liverpool players ‘incredible’ in a three-word message.
Robertson added a message just for Gordon as the 16-year-old continues to make huge progress at Anfield.
With James Balagizi on the bench last night, we could see more Liverpool youngsters emerging in the first time in the coming month.
