Liverpool could add another goalkeeper to their ranks this month.

According to a report from the Daily Mail Liverpool are stepping up their interest in Standard Liege goalkeeper Guillaume Hubert with Leicester City also keen on the 21-year-old.

Liverpool look like having a busy January transfer window, with Marko Grujic’s signature already secured and others tipped to follow.

One of those could be Hubert, who Liverpool are said to have been keeping a very close eye on since he broke into Liege’s first-team this season.

In the current campaign Hubert has played 13 matches, keeping six clean sheets in the process, and with doubts remaining over the long-term future of Simon Mignolet it seems his young countryman could be classed as a future alternative.

Prior to this season Hubert had only played one first-team match for Liege but since getting a chance in late October he has not looked back.

According to the Mail Liege could consider offers starting at £700,000 for the player and considering the funds available at Liverpool it could be seen as a no-brainer if Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is that interested.
