Liverpool want as much as £20 million as transfer fee for Marko Grujic, according to The Mirror.

This means that the Premier League champions are planning to make almost £15 million in profit.

According to BBC Sport, Liverpool paid Red Star Belgrade £5.1 million to sign the midfielder in January 2016.

The Serbia international was manager Jurgen Klopp’s first Liverpool signing, with the German describing him as “a big talent” and “a very skilled player” on the club’s official website in January 2016.

Good plan from Liverpool?

While it remains to be seen if Liverpool will get £20 million in transfer fee for Grujic, it is quite smart of the Reds to demand that much money.

The Reds do not have to sell any of their players, and given Grujic’s quality and potential, the Merseyside will know that he can become an important player for the team if he stays.

The 24-year-old Serbia international midfielder did well and progressed nicely during his loan spell at Hertha Berlin in Germany, and Liverpool would be doing quite a good business if they are able to sell him for £20 million.
