It looks like Ozan Kabak’s time at Liverpool is coming to an end.
Signed on loan from Schalke on deadline day in February, the Turkish international had a shaky start with the Reds but then looked pretty solid.
Liverpool had an option to turn the move permanent, but The Independent report that the Reds have decided not to activate that clause.
Leicester City now want to sign Kabak, meaning he is still likely to leave Schalke this summer after their relegation from the Bundesliga.
Schalke have already moved to bolster their squad though, signing a player who could help fill the gap to be left by Kabak.
Schalke have confirmed on their official website that they have snapped up former Liverpool talent Victor Palsson from Darmstadt for an undisclosed fee.
The 30-year-old joined Liverpool from AGF back in 2009, but left two years later without ever making a first-team appearance for the club.
His career has taken him to Hibernian, New York Red Bulls, NEC Nijmegen, Helsingborgs, Esbjerg, Zurich and Darmstadt, becoming something of a nomad.

Primarily a holding midfielder, Palsson can also play as a centre back and may drop back into that role to help when Kabak leaves.
It’s funny how football works sometimes; Liverpool say no to Kabak, then Schalke go and bring in a player who had Anfield his own dreams dashed 10 years ago.
It seems unlikely that they will play together next season, but Palsson will be keen to solidify Schalke whether or not Kabak comes back.
