Liverpool have joined the race to sign Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun.

It has been reported by the British tabloid that Chelsea and Manchester City are also interested in the former Manchester United winger.

The report has also claimed that Liverpool, City and City all want the 25-year-old winger in a £50 million deal as a homegrown player.

The Sun has also reported that Zaha is ready to leave Palace in the summer transfer window to order to play European competition next season.

Wilfred Zaha of Palace is challenged by Craig Cathcart of Watford during the Premier League match between Watford and Crystal Palace at Vicarage Road on April 21, 2018 in Watford, England.

Tough for Tottenham Hotspur

Liverpool (reportedly) joining the race for Zaha means that it has just become tougher for Tottenham Hotspur to secure the services of the Ivory Coast international winger in the summer transfer window.

The Daily Mail reported in March that Spurs will make a bid of £40m for Zaha in the summer transfer window.

A player of Zaha’s quality and playing style would make Tottenham a better team, but with Liverpool now claimed to be in the race, the winger will have a lot of options, and Spurs would have to work hard in order to convince him to move to the North London outfit.
