Liverpool, who lost to Napoli in Italy in the UEFA Champions League in midweek, will return to action on Saturday when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield in the Premier League.

However, it remains to be seen if football matches in England do go ahead this weekend.

The Queen’s death is being mourned across the UK, and football authorities may decide that it would not be appropriate to have any games played.

Queen Elizabeth II was very popular and well-liked by the British public, and football governing bodies in the UK may cancel this weekend’s fixture.
