Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have received a bid for Sadio Mane from Bayern Munich, according to The Times.

Bayern have offered Liverpool a fee of £21 million upfront for Senegal international forward Mane, according to the report.

The German champions will reportedly pay a further £4 million in add-ons, ‘of which a large chunk would depend on Julian Nagelsmann’s side winning the Champions League in the future’.

The Times have reported that Liverpool have turned down that bid.

Liverpool should hold out for more for Sadio Mane

In our view, Liverpool should not sell Sadio Mane for only £21 million even if the Senegal international forward wants to leave.

No way.

Liverpool paid Southampton £30 million for the forward back in the summer of 2016 (The Liverpool Echo).

Mane has developed into a world-class player at Liverpool and has won the Premier League and the Champions League with the Reds.

Yes, the forward is 30 now and is out of contract at Liverpool next summer, but we should not forget that he is in his prime.

We do not think that Liverpool should sell Mane for anything less than £40 million.

According to The Times, Mane has scored 120 goals in 269 matches for Liverpool so far.
