As Liverpool prepare to do the unthinkable against Real Madrid in the 2nd leg of the Champions League Round of 16, we have tried to get into Jurgen Klopp’s thinking for the visitors’ predicted lineup.

Ahead of the contest at the Santiago Bernabéu, we expect the German to just make 1 change from his side’s 1-0 defeat at Bournemouth.

In between the sticks, Alisson Becker is set to start as per usual, as he will be hoping to bounce back from his error in the hosts’ 5-2 loss against Los Blancos at Anfield.

At right-back, Trent Alexander-Arnold, who struggled against Vinicius Jr. is likely to keep his place in our Liverpool predicted lineup against Real Madrid.

In the right-sided centre-back role, Ibrahima Konate, who was criticised by the likes of Jermaine Jenas, Michael Owen and Tim Sherwood against the Cherries is dead set to get a chance to redeem himself.

Alongside him, another much-maligned player against Bournemouth in Virgil van Dijk is virtually guaranteed to start in our Liverpool predicted lineup against Real Madrid.

At left-back, Andy Robertson is another name who will comprise an unchanged Reds back 4.

Fabinho, who was not at his best against Carlo Ancelotti’s side last time around is also a likely starter in the upcoming contest.

Right in front of him, Stefan Bajcetic could be set for a return to Spain on Wednesday as the teenager has become a regular starter for the side.

While Harvey Elliott was widely lauded for his showing against Manchester United, the experienced Jordan Henderson, who Sadio Mane picked as the best leader he has played in his career via Tik Tok will likely sum up the picks in midfield.

As for the front 3, we also expect it to be unchanged, with Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez given another go.
