As Premier League football is on the horizon once again and Liverpool prepare to face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, we have tried to call the visitors’ predicted lineup.

With Jurgen Klopp making a couple of unexpected additions to the Reds XI that started and lost to Real Madrid 1-0 at the Santiago Bernabéu, we expect just two changes to his XI for the upcoming contest.

Liverpool predicted lineup vs Manchester City

Coming off the back of a heroic display against Real Madrid, Alisson is more dead set than ever to start proceedings against Pep Guardiola’s side.

With Trent Alexander-Arnold not picked in the England squad for the recent outings, he will be well-rested to start in the Liverpool predicted lineup against Manchester City.

At centre-back, Ibrahima Konate, who played against Los Blancos as well has become a guaranteed starter in the side and much of the same is expected on Saturday.

Right alongside the Frenchman is set to be Virgil van Dijk in the Liverpool predicted lineup against Manchester City.

At left-back, Andy Robertson is also set to retain his place in the side.

With Stefan Bajcetic ruled out for the rest of the season, Fabinho will slot in straight into his usual defensive midfield role.

The first change is likely to come in the form of James Milner being benched for club captain Jordan Henderson.

While Cody Gakpo is expected to keep his place in our Liverpool predicted lineup, he will operate as the striker instead of the No.10 role which Harvey Elliott, branded as ‘outstanding’ by Alan Shearer on BBC Sport could slot in against Manchester City.

As the Dutchman could start as his side’s No.9, Diogo Jota could be excluded from the XI, as he is working his way back into the team after recovering from injury.

While Darwin Nunez’s fitness remains a concern, there have been murmurs of him being available, which could mean he starts in our Liverpool predicted lineup on the left wing against the Sky Blues.

And Mohamed Salah’s inclusion just goes without saying.
