Curtis Jones has told the club’s official website that he wants more game time at Liverpool in the coming season.
Jones broke into Liverpool’s senior squad towards the back end of last campaign, and ended up making 12 first-team appearances.
Jones was even afforded six Premier League games by Jurgen Klopp, as the Reds boss began to ease him into life in the senior squad.
And Jones wants to kick on from where he left off last term now, by forcing his way into Liverpool’s team more regularly.
“I can’t wait to get started,” the youngster said.
“We had a short break but I was working hard while I was off. I just hope I can carry on the season that I had last season.
“Hopefully I can just be more involved in the matchday squads and get a bit more game time and show what I’m really capable of doing.

“Hopefully I can help the team with some more goals, assists and I’ll just see what the season holds for me.”
There are extremely high hopes for Jones at Liverpool, as he has already shown glimpses of real promise in the first-team.
Jones has a Premier League goal to his name, and also netted a screamer in a Merseyside derby against Everton last term.
The 19-year-old is regarded as one of Liverpool’s finest talents and his wish for more game time could well come true.
With Adam Lallana leaving, Liverpool are yet to sign another midfielder, and it could be that Jones takes his place in the pecking order at Anfield.
