Luis Alberto, who joined Malaga on loan from Liverpool, spoke of his delight after helping the Spanish club win the 2014 Schalke 04 Cup.
Malaga continued their pre-season preparations with a comfortable 2-0 victory over West Ham United on Sunday.
The win was the Spanish club’s second in as many days following a similarly easy 3-1 success over Newcastle United at the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen on Saturday.
The back-to-back victories saw the La Liga outfit lift the 2014 Schalke 04 Cup, leading summer loan signing Luis Alberto to express his delight on social networking site Twitter.
‘Very satisfied with the work of the team, now to continue working and maintain the pace’, the 21-year-old wrote.
Alberto, who scored on Sunday and also failed to convert a penalty, joined Liverpool from Sevilla for a transfer fee of £6.8 million last summer, but failed to make a huge impact for the Reds in his debut season in the Premier League in 2013-14.

Having secured a season-long loan deal with Malaga earlier this summer, the Spain Under-21 international attacker will hope to recover his confidence and form, and return to Anfield next season as a better player.
That the youngster is talented is indisputable, but he needs to be given chances and shown patience. At Malaga Alberto is expected to get both, meaning that he should be looking forward to the 2014-15 campaign.
