Liverpool are showing a surprise interest in signing Oostende midfielder Kenny Rocha Santos, fighting the likes of Porto and Feyenoord.
That’s according to Voetbal Flitsen, who report that Rocha Santos has ended up on the radars of big clubs.
Oostende have recently lost the likes of Jack Hendry, Fashion Sakala and Arthur Theate, meaning they would hate to lose Rocha Santos.
Rocha Santos, 22, only joined Oostende last summer having arrived from French side Nancy.
Formerly of Saint-Etienne, it’s taken a while for Rocha Santos to really become a valued prospect.
Liverpool are now believed to be keen, and Oostende would be seeking a fee of around €10million (£8.3million).
Liverpool may have scouts watching Rocha Santos at the moment, because he is currently featuring at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Starring for Cape Verde, Rocha Santos was named man of the match in Sunday’s 1-0 win over Ethiopia.

Rocha Santos recorded four key passes in a strong performance, with Liverpool potentially looking on with interest.
This isn’t exactly akin to Liverpool targeting Jude Bellingham or even Renato Sanches. Rocha Santos is a relative unknown and Liverpool fans would accuse FSG of being cheap.
Still, Rocha Santos is a talent on the rise and he could be a diamond in the rough for Liverpool.
