In an exclusive interview with Sky Sports, Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has admitted that he is not happy with his performances for the Reds thus far.
Jürgen Klopp’s men have been in sensational form at the start of their 2016/17 campaign, and currently sit fourth in the Premier League table after recording impressive away victories at Arsenal and Chelsea.
The Dutch international has been an integral part of the Reds’ campaign so far, starting every Premier League game, but when speaking to Sky Sports, he explained how he believes he has a lot more to offer:

“To be fair, I settled in quite quick, but I am not really happy with my own performances, because I know I can do better. I will strive to do better. I am happy with our results and how I played, but not really happy as I know I can do better.”
The 25-year-old former Newcastle United man forged a reputation as a goalscoring midfielder during his time at St James’ Park, with an impressive record of 11 goals in 38 league games for the Magpies.

He has yet to open his account for Liverpool, and that could be what Wijnaldum is referring to when he says that he knows he can do better.
He was certainly signed by Klopp as part of a plan to add a goal threat from midfield, so from that aspect he will have to start contributing more in the attacking third if he is to justify his price-tag.
