Liverpool look to be without Trent Alexander-Arnold for tonight’s game against Porto – and Neco Williams may have emerged as a late alternative.
The Reds are back in Champions League action this evening as they travel to Portugal to take on Porto.
The win over AC Milan in the first group stage game sets Liverpool up well for the rest of this phase.
Alexander-Arnold blow
Liverpool will though have to win tonight’s game without right back Trent Alexander-Arnold, who misses out through injury.
The Liverpool Echo report that Alexander-Arnold has not travelled to Portugal with the rest of the squad.
The right back was seen with the rest of the Liverpool squad in training yesterday, but won’t be playing tonight.
When Alexander-Arnold missed the clash with Crystal Palace earlier this month, James Milner filled in at right back.

Williams announces return to Liverpool training
Now though, Liverpool may have another option to consider with Neco Williams back in training.
Williams has taken to instagram to post a photo of him training on Monday, adding the message ‘Feels good to be back training’, as well as tagging the Champions League.
The Welshman may now hope to play against Porto tonight having not appeared at all for Liverpool this season.
Williams has struggled with injury but is making a late push to make his first appearance of the campaign tonight.
