The Baggies are reeling from Dwight Gayle’s FA ban for simulation, and some angry fans decided to hit out at the Reds forward.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has emerged as a target of criticism from fans of a Championship club – although he hasn’t done anything to them directly.
The Egypt ace has been sensational since his return to the Premier League in the summer of 2017, clocking up an incredible tally of 64 goals and 24 assists from just 86 games (Transfermarkt).
However, there has been some ire directed his way, with accusations that he dived in several games this term including against Crystal Palace, Newcastle United and Arsenal, prompting Jurgen Klopp to defend his player (The Guardian).
Heading 100-odd miles south-east, West Bromwich Albion have found themselves in the spotlight this week after on-loan forward Dwight Gayle was charged and subsequently banned after admitting a charge of “successful deception of a match official” following his side’s 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night.
Against Martin O’Neill’s side, the 28-year-old went down in the box late on, supposedly under a challenge from Alexander Milosevic, and referee Lee Mason awarded a spot kick to the hosts which Jay Rodriguez converted, although replays showed there was no contact between the two players.
West Brom issued a statement on their website – and then shared it on Twitter – confirming their loanee had been banned, so he will now miss Championship games against Aston Villa and Queens Park Rangers, before becoming available again against Sheffield United on Saturday, 23 February.

So, where does Salah come into this? Well, given the Reds talisman’s apparent reputation for simulation, some Baggies fans wondered why their man gets banned and others don’t:
