The Reds travel to Old Trafford on Sunday, then host Watford next Wednesday, before heading to Goodison Park next Sunday.
Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has spoken about his side’s upcoming Premier League fixtures with Manchester United and Everton, acknowledging that both of the Reds’ big rivals will be incredibly eager to beat Jurgen Klopp’s side.
In response, the Egypt international brushed off the pressure and intensity of those games by saying it’s “not a big deal” and insisting they will simply continue to do what they have been doing with success so far this season.
The Premier League has developed into a close three-horse race, with Manchester City topping the table and Liverpool in second, level on points with Pep Guardiola’s side, with worse goal difference but with a game in hand.
Just five points behind sit Tottenham Hotspur, who also have a game in hand on City, while Man United have surged up the table since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took the reins and will now fancy their chances against their bitter rivals on Sunday.
Everton are down in ninth with some discontent among the fanbase in terms of how their team is doing and how Marco Silva is faring as manager, but the upcoming derby, on Sunday 3 March, takes place at Goodison Park.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Salah said: “Even when we are not top of the league, I know how much United want to win against Liverpool and Everton the same. For me it is not a big deal. We just need to do what we have been doing for the last couple of months.”
In between those two games, Liverpool host Watford at Anfield on Wednesday night.
