Why Liverpool should now move for Luciano Vietto.
Luciano Vietto
In 2014/15 Luciano Vietto was one of the stars of La Liga. He netted 20 goals in all competitions for Villarreal, his first season in Spain.
His performances saw interest mount in his signature, with it claimed by Spanish newspaper AS that Liverpool were strongly interested in him.
The 22-year-old can play up front or on the wing, and Liverpool were beaten to his signature by Atletico Madrid, who paid 20 million Euros (£15.9m) to snap him up.

Despite his big move, the Argentine was unable to transfer his Villarreal form to Atletico, and scored only three goals.
Now he is open to the idea of moving on, with his agent telling AS yesterday that it is unclear where he will be playing next season.
It is claimed 15 sides are interested in him, with Atletico hoping to recoup the money they spent on him 12 months ago.

Vietto remains a top prospect, who has proven himself by scoring 20 goals in one of Europe’s top leagues, and despite a disappointing last campaign, this cannot be discounted.
Jurgen Klopp has a proven track record of improving and getting the best out of players, and Vietto could really blossom under him in the same way Divock Origi has kicked on.
This could be Liverpool’s chance to snap Vietto up before he hits form again elsewhere and his price rises to an unattainable level, and they would be wise to push through a deal.
