People inside Liverpool seemingly expect Michael Edwards and Julian Ward to reunite with another club in the near future.
That’s according to The Telegraph, who claim that the ‘broad expectation’ is that Edwards and Ward will link up together down the line.
It’s even claimed that efforts have been made to encourage Premier League and Champions League offers for the pair.
Edwards left his role as Liverpool’s sporting director over the summer, seemingly planning to take a break.
There have been links to both Chelsea and Manchester United but Edwards remains out of football as things stand.
Liverpool promoted Ward to become the replacement for Edwards having served as his assistant at Anfield.
Ward has only been in the job for a few months but has already signalled his intention to leave Liverpool at the end of the season.

Edwards leaving Liverpool was difficult enough to swallow.
The former Portsmouth and Tottenham Hotspur man completely revolutionised Liverpool and his record in recruitment was incredible.
The key players during Liverpool’s success have been the likes of Alisson, Virgil van Dijk, Andrew Robertson, Fabinho, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.
Edwards played a huge role in all of those deals, all whilst raking in huge cash for fringe players.
Edwards was a real driving force for Liverpool and the Reds hoped that appointing Ward would bring some continuity.
Yet with Ward now wanting to leave – and potentially join Edwards at his next club – Liverpool face a nightmare situation.
Replacing Ward won’t be easy but there is also the very real prospect of them ending up at a Premier League rival together.
Seeing Edwards and Ward attempt to build something as they did at Liverpool would really hurt, with this potential move presenting something of a double whammy for the Reds.
