Jose Enrique has said on Twitter that it would be tough for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool to sign Real Madrid winger Marco Asensio in the summer transfer window.
The former Liverpool star has pointed out that if Asensio moved to Anfield, then he would want to play regularly for the Reds.
Enrique has added that Asensio’s wages would also be very high.
The 26-year-old Spain international winger is on £117,000 per week as salary (SalarySport) at the moment at La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners Real Madrid.
Earlier this month, AS reported that Liverpool have informed Asensio’s entourage that they like him and want to sign him this summer.
Sport have also claimed interest from former Premier League champions Liverpool in the three-time La Liga and UEFA Champions League winner.

Could a transfer happen?
In our view, it is unlikely that Marco Asensio will leave Real Madrid for Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
Yes, of course, Liverpool are a big club who are doing well at the moment in terms of winning and challenging for major trophies.
But, even with the departure of Sadio Mane, Liverpool have a very strong and potent attacking unit.
Asensio struggled for regular playing time at Madrid last season due to competition for places, and the Spaniard would likely face the same problem at Liverpool.
