Former Anfield star Steve McManaman has said on BBC Radio 5 Live (7:32pm, May 20, 2022) that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will miss out on the Premier League title to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
McManaman, who played for Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid, believes that the both the Reds and the Citizens will win their respective games this weekend.
Liverpool will take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield in the Premier League on the final of the day.
Manchester City, who won the league title last season, will face Aston Villa at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
City are a point ahead of second-placed Liverpool at the top.
Steve McManaman on Liverpool v Manchester City title race
McManaman said on the Friday Night Social on BBC Radio 5 Live (7:32pm, May 20, 2022): “Yes, I think Liverpool will go and beat Wolves because they are not in the greatest of form, and they will be on a high and the stadium will be rocking.
“But I just can’t see Manchester City doing anything but winning themselves, to be very honest.
“I think Liverpool will do the business and then roll onto the Champions League next week, but I can’t see past (Manchester City).”

Who will win Premier League title?
In our view, Manchester City will head into the final day of the season as clear favourites to win the Premier League title ahead of Liverpool.
City are a point ahead and are at home.
Yes, Villa are a good team, but City have a far superior side and should get the job done.
We expect Liverpool to win against Wolves, but we also predict City to pick up maximum points from their game against Villa at the Etihad Stadium.
