Rio Ferdinand has said on his YouTube channel that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will not be able to catch Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table this season.
The former Manchester United defender believes that Manchester City are too good at the moment, and does not think that Liverpool will be able to catch them.
Both Liverpool and City won in the Premier League this past weekend.
Klopp’s Liverpool won 1-0 against Burnley at Turf Moor on Sunday, while Guardiola’s City hammered Norwich City 4-0 at Carrow Road on Saturday.
Defending champions City are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 63 points from 25 matches, while Liverpool are second with 54 points from 24 games.
Ferdinand said on his YouTube channel when asked if the title race is over: “Points-wise it’s not over, but I just believe that City just look too comfortable in their games. City look like in total control all the time.”

Could Liverpool catch Manchester City?
In our view, Liverpool can certainly catch Manchester City.
Yes, City are nine points clear at the top of the league table, but Liverpool have a game in hand.
If Liverpool win it and the Citizens lose a game, then it’s game-on.
In our opinion, the Premier League title race is far from over.
Now, of course, we know that City are winning games with ease at the moment, but they have lost this season, which means that they can be beaten.
Liverpool, though, have to continue to win and cannot afford any slip-ups.
