Glenn Hoddle has praised Raheem Sterling on Premier League Productions and has said that he has become a better player since leaving Liverpool for Manchester City.
The Tottenham Hotspur legend made the comments while watching Raheem Sterling, a former Liverpool player, in action for Manchester City against Leicester City at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Boxing Day.
The England international scored from the penalty spot in the 25th minute.
Hoddle told Premier League Productions about Raheem Sterling: “At Liverpool, he wasn’t a great goalscorer. He’s not a clean striker of the ball, not many goals you see him hitting from 25 yards.
“Pep’s got him coming in and arriving. He’s always on the move but it’s six, seven yards out.
“He’s getting his goals in there, so the timing of his runs now are much, much better. He’s more astute in his movement now than when he first went to Man City.”

Raheem Sterling a better player since Liverpool exit
Not many players leave Liverpool and actually become better.
However, in our opinion, Raheem Sterling has done just that.
The 27-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, has become world class under manager Pep Guardiola at City.
Raheem Sterling now scores goals, creates chances for his teammates, and his pace is still frightening.
Now, we have to remember that when Liverpool sold Sterling to City in 2015 for £44 million, he was only 20.
Raheem Sterling is 27 now, and he is at the top of his game at the moment.
The attacker has scored 102 goals in 306 Premier League appearances so far in his career.
