Liverpool could copy Manchester City as they and Arsenal both consider moving into the multi-club network approach.
Ideas from any of these clubs can be viewed as a risk these days.
Liverpool owner John Henry and Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke were vice-chairman of the ill-fated European Super League.
Fanbases raged against the plans and forced the two Americans, as well as other owners, to back down from their plans.
There is some ill-feeling towards American owners in the Premier League at the moment but their latest idea may not cause the same outrage.

Liverpool could copy Manchester City
The Guardian report that Liverpool’s Henry and Arsenal’s Kroenke are both exploring plans to move into the multi-club network approach.
Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is also looking into this route; it’s not a coincidence that all three are American owners.
They seemingly want to copy Manchester City’s multi-club network model under the City Football Group name.
A staggering 11 clubs now operate under the City Football Group umbrella, with Manchester City of course the biggest name.
Girona (Spain), Lommel (Belgium), Melbourne City (Australia), Montevideo City Torque (Uruguay), Mumbai City (India), New York City (United States), Palermo (Italy), Sichuan Jiuniu (China), Troyes (France) and Yokohama F. Marinos (Japan) are the other clubs in the City Football Group.
Operating closely with clubs is nothing revolutionary as clubs have working with ‘feeder clubs’ for many years.
This is a different approach though, with owners buying multiple teams to facilitate the movement of players between them all.
The model has been working for the City Football Group having claimed 30 trophies across their clubs in the last 15 years.
Arsenal and Liverpool now want something similar and expand their global brands by moving into other countries.
Both are historically bigger than City but may need to adopt some of their ideas to stay in touch with them in the coming years.
It’s unlikely to receive a backlash like the Super League with Henry and Kroenke now looking into potential additions to their portfolios.
