Liverpool have now made Torino a new approach in recent days to discuss the transfer of Perr Schuurs. The centre-back has convinced Anfield boss Jurgen Klopp of his likely worth.

That is according to Tuttosport, which reports that Liverpool approached Torino to discuss Schuurs’ availability this week. Klopp is increasingly confident that the 23-year-old has the talent to cut it in the Premier League. But the Dutchman also has a flurry of rival admirers.

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are also keeping tabs on Schuurs’ efforts with Il Toro in view of his transfer. The Red Devils and Spurs are even ready to enter the race in a more concrete manner and hold discussions with his Serie A side for the summer window.

Torino are looking for a large profit to cash in on Perr Schuurs’ transfer already

Paris Saint-Germain are also exploring luring Schuurs to Ligue 1 for next season. While AC Milan, AS Roma, Inter Milan and SSC Napoli would like to raid their Serie A rival and keep the defender in Italy. But Torino’s rivals would struggle to match the offers now expected.

Schuurs is likely to cost any suitor €50m (£44m) as Torino would owe Ajax 15% from a sell-on clause. Il Toro agreed to include the clause as part of the defender’s €9.5m (£8m), plus €3.5m (£3m) in add-ons, move from the Eredivisie side last August on a four-year contract.

Jurgen Klopp is driving Liverpool’s interest in the Tottenham Hotspur target

Torino’s price tag has not put Liverpool off moving to speak with the Serie A side regarding Schuurs’ potential transfer. Anfield boss Klopp is driving the Reds’ interest in the 6 ft 3 star. The German had wanted to sign the centre-half in 2020, too, and is now increasingly eager.

Schuurs settling in so well at the Olimpico di Torino has convinced Klopp that he would be a great addition. But the Reds coach may need to convince the Dutchman of a move away so soon. Schuurs is not opposed to spending at least one more season with the Turin natives.
