Liverpool must push for Celtic’s Marko Grujic.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has made his displeasure with the club clear after their failure to sign John McGinn.
McGinn signed for Aston Villa in a £2.75 million switch, with Celtic only making a half-hearted late attempt to sign the Hibs midfielder.
Fortunately there is an alternative available if strengthening his midfield is his priority, if Rodgers looks to former club Liverpool.
Grujic is a Serbia international who was included in his country’s World Cup squad, and he also has the honour of being Jurgen Klopp’s first signing at Liverpool.

Despite this, Grujic has found the step up has not quite happened so far, despite impressing on loan at Cardiff City last season, helping the Bluebirds win promotion.
A switch to Cardiff again is now off the table with the English transfer window closed, meaning Grujic must consider another Championship club, or look abroad.
Celtic represent an attractive option, favourites to win silverware, and also, hopefully, having Champions League football on offer.
On a loan deal, a move could be very smart for Celtic, even as a consolation for McGinn.
