Liverpool-mad pundit Jose Enrique has stated on Twitter that it’s ‘very bad news’ for William Saliba and Arsenal that he is expected to miss his side’s Premier League title showdown against Manchester City on Wednesday night at the Etihad.
William Saliba has missed Arsenal’s last five games with a back injury and it’s now expected that it will continue ahead of their biggest game of the season, as reported by Sky Sports.
It’s a body blow for the Gunners because, defeat by Pep Guardiola’s men, and many think that the Premier League title would then fall away from Mikel Arteta’s grasp and into the hands of his teacher.

In Saliba’s absence, Rob Holding has been the guy to fill the void at the back, although, he didn’t have the best of times at Anfield, which included the Englishman giving away a penalty which was missed by Mohamed Salah during that all-action 2-2 draw.
For three games on the bounce, Arsenal have dropped points and they have been involved in high-scoring draws.
They might have to pull the rabbit out of the hat here because their star centre-back is expected to be sidelined again, with Enrique sharing his thoughts.
SALIBA A HUGE MISS
The 22-year-old has been outstanding for Arsenal this season in what has been the £40k-a-week star’s (Spotrac) breakthrough campaign in north London.
Despite signing for the club in 2019, the France international only made his senior debut this season.
But, his absence, in recent weeks, has been proven to be costly for Arsenal, and if somehow, they can get him back on the field, then it will increase their chances of stopping the steaming Man City train from winning the Premier League title.
