Liverpool may need to sign a new finger in January, with Porto star Luis Diaz continuing to be linked with a move to Anfield.
Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah are both heading off to the Africa Cup of Nations in January.
That will leave Liverpool very short in attack, and a new forward could be brought in to help Jurgen Klopp.
Jornal de Noticias report that Liverpool are considering making a move for Porto star Diaz in January.
That report even suggested that Diaz is the preferred signing of boss Klopp having been impressed this season.
The problem is that Diaz has an €80million (£67.5million) release clause in his Porto deal, and they don’t want to sell any cheaper.
Diaz has hit 11 goals and two assists in 16 games this season, shining in off the left flank for Porto.
The Colombian could bolster Liverpool’s front three, but that price tag seems out of their range right now.

Diaz’s agent has been asked about the Liverpool rumours, with Carlos van Strahalen speaking to Radio Renascenca.
Van Strahalen claims the interest form big clubs around Europe like Liverpool is ‘normal’, but isn’t actually sure Porto will allow him to leave in January unless that release clause is paid.
“It is normal [the interest of other clubs]. If a player plays well, he starts to stand out, if the majority considers him the best player in the Portuguese League, if he is the top scorer and is making a great Champions League level, that interest is normal,” said Van Strahalen. “Can he leave Porto? I don’t know, nor can I talk much at the moment, because I’m in a meeting, we’ll talk later,” he added.
