The on-loan Rangers pair helped Steven Gerrard’s team to victory at Ibrox on Thursday.

Rangers’ on-loan Liverpool pair Ryan Kent and Ovie Ejaria will not have many better nights than yesterday’s at Ibrox, Steven Gerrard has claimed.
Both players endured frustrating 2017-18 campaigns, which they spent on loan to Hannover 96 and Bristol City (Kent), and Sunderland (Ejaria).
But they have since gone onto establish themselves under Gerrard, their former Liverpool teammate, at Rangers, and started the 3-1 Europa League win against Rapid Vienna, which moved the Gers top of Group G.
Asked if Kent and Ejaria were finally coming of age, Gerrard told Rangers’ official Youtube channel: “I think those two players have been really craving this stage.
“They’ve been at Liverpool and they’ve had players in front of them like Salah, Henderson and Firmino, and it’s very difficult to shift those players. But they’ve looked in at that Liverpool team for many years and have really craved to be a part of that.
“Unfortunately, they haven’t made it happen at Liverpool, so this is another fantastic opportunity that’s been presented to them and they’re revelling in it – I think they’re enjoying it.
“And I’m not sure they’ll have many better nights than last night – an atmosphere like that, a performance like that. I could see it in the players’ faces after the game – they loved it, and I loved watching it. It was fantastic.”

Kent and Ejaria are due to spend the remainder of this season at Rangers – where the ex-Liverpool pair Jordan Rossiter and Jon Flanagan are also employed as players – although what happens after that is unclear.
Ejaria agreed a new long-term contract at Anfield ahead of his move north of the border, a year after Kent did likewise.
