One Liverpool loanee has made it clear what he thinks about the Jack Butland rumours.
According to The Mirror, the Premier League champions are interested in signing the out-of-favour Stoke City goalkeeper.
Liverpool will be without number one Alisson for six weeks and Adrian’s performance in the 7-2 defeat by Aston Villa last weekend hasn’t inspired confidence that he can replace the Brazilian adequately.
Oliver Holt, a journalist for The Mail on Sunday, claimed on Twitter that Butland joining the Reds would be a great move for the club and player.
But Liverpool goalkeeper Kamil Grabara, on loan at Danish Superliga club AGF, has responded to that tweet with a laughing face emoji.
The reality is that Butland used to be considered England’s next big thing with regards to goalkeepers.
But he’s 27 now and hasn’t played for the Championship club since July.
He’s certainly a big name, but he might not be the big player that Liverpool seemingly hope he is and maybe sticking with Adrian is the better option.
