Liverpool midfielder Ovie Ejaria has had a promising spell at Rangers so far.

Ovie Ejaria’s spell at Rangers can best be summed up by the old adage, ‘you are only as good as your last game’.
Ejaria’s performance in the Scottish League Cup semi-final defeat to Aberdeen has come in for criticism after Steven Gerrard’s side drew a blank in a 1-0 defeat.
This came just days after fans hailed his ‘Rolls Royce’ like performance in the Europa League against Spartak Moscow.
Now following the game with Aberdeen, Ejaria’s performance has been called out.
Former Rangers attacker Lee McCulloch told the Evening Times: “Ovie Ejaria has got ability, but if he’s going to play in the number 10 position then he’s got to start getting assists and scoring goals, because that’s the role.
“There’s no taking away from his talent, but you can’t just rely so heavily on the strikers.”

Ejaria has played 20 times this season for Rangers already, scoring twice. He is yet to register an assist.
The 20-year-old looks promising, but as McCulloch points out, he needs to increase his attacking output.
This is all part of the learning experience for Ejaria, who has already made big strides on his loan spell at Sunderland last season.
If he can add goals to his game then he will be a very exciting player, and he needs to take the criticism on board.
