Should Liverpool pay up for Paulo Dybala in January?
Paulo Dybala appears to be collateral damage as part of Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to Juventus.
He has been tipped to leave Juventus in January by his former Palermo president Maurizio Zamperini [via Goal] and is claimed to have offers from England.
Dybala is the perfect addition to complete Liverpool’s attack, replace Coutinho and be an alternative to near-miss Nabil Fekir.
The Argentine can play anywhere in attack, behind a striker, out wide, or even as a main centre-forward.
Such versatility would make him a dangerous addition to Liverpool’s stunning attack which carved up the Champions League last season.
Zamperini said yesterday that he knows Dybala has offers already on the table.
He said: “He’ll leave, because Juventus want to get €120 million. In January, I think he’ll leave for Spain. He has offers in Spain and England.
“Juventus have a lot of champions and it’s obviously a reason to cry when a phenomenon like him is not playing.”
Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester United are all touted as potential destinations so Liverpool would not have it all their own way attempting to sign the attacker.
120 million Euros works out at £106 million, a fee which would be a club record for Liverpool to pay.
It would still be a lot less than the fee they received for Coutinho last year.
The Reds showed last season they were not afraid to spend big in January to sign Virgil Van Dijk.
Players like Dybala rarely hit the transfer market, and Liverpool must strongly consider making a move.
