The Athletic Bilbao forward has been linked with a move to Liverpool since 2015.

Liverpool linked ace Inaki Williams has signed a new five-year deal with Athletic Bilbao that includes a £96 million release clause, according to the Sun – news that will surely end the Reds’ reported interest in the pacey forward.
The 23-year-old has been on the Merseyside outfit’s radar since 2015, according to the Sun, with Jürgen Klopp thought to be a huge fan of the striker.

Williams has been in decent form in La Liga this season, but he has hardly been prolific in front of goal, scoring just four times in 19 league outings for his club thus far.
He is an undoubted talent, however, what with his abundance of pace, and the fearless manner in which he approaches the game.

His direct playing style would have undoubtedly offered the Reds something extra in forward areas, but it could be argued that he is in no way better than what Klopp currently has available to him.
That combined with Williams’ extortionate new release clause will surely put an end to any talk of a move to Anfield…for the time being at least.
