Liverpool are reportedly keen on Perr Schuurs but Leicester City have now made their move for the Torino defender ahead of the deadline.
Schuurs may not ring many bells for Liverpool fans but he appears to be on the long-term radar at Anfield.
The Mirror reported in 2020 like Schuurs having taken him on trial from Fortuna Sittard earlier in his career.
Schuurs left Ajax for Torino last summer but Liverpool’s interest was again noted.
Agent George Gardi told Tuttosport earlier this season that Liverpool and Tottenham both tried to sign Schuurs over the summer.
Schuurs chose to guaranteed playing time at Torino, seemingly knowing that bigger clubs would come calling if he impressed in Italy.
Liverpool may well still have Schuurs on their radar but they may now see him join a Premier League rival in the coming days.

Leicester City offer swap deal for Liverpool target Perr Schuurs
Leicester – managed by ex-Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers – have now come forward with a move for Schuurs.
SportItalia claim that Leicester have offered €28million (£25million) plus midfielder Dennis Praet in an effort tempt Torino into selling.
Praet spent last season on loan at Torino but has started just six Premier League games for Leicester this term.
The Foxes now seem willing to let Praet go and will hope that Torino liked him enough to accept this part-exchange deal.
It’s stated that Leicester envisage major interest in Schuurs over the summer and want to get in for him now to avoid missing out.
Liverpool may well be one of the clubs Leicester fear missing out to, having held such a long-term interest in the Dutchman.
Torino surely won’t want to sell in the final days of the window but Leicester are pushing – and Schuurs may soon have another big transfer decisions to make mere months after leaving Ajax.
