Liverpool could jump to second in the Premier League table with a win against Everton tomorrow night.
Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler explained why he believes his former club hold the advantage as they head into tomorrow night’s Merseyside Derby against Everton at Goodsion Park, suggesting that the Reds have a ‘sign’ over their fierce rivals, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.
Jürgen Klopp’s men head into the game on the back of an impressive midweek win over Middlesbrough, whilst Koeman’s side will be buoyed by their superb 2-1 victory over Arsenal on Tuesday.

Liverpool are in desperate need of all three points as they look to keep pace with league leaders Chelsea, and currently sit nine points adrift of the Londoners.
Ninth placed Everton, meanwhile, could jump to seventh in the Premier League table with a win, but Fowler, who made 370 appearances for the Reds, doesn’t subscribe to the notion of form going out of the window in derby games, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo:
“Liverpool have had a little bit of a sign over Everton over the last few years. The old cliche of form going out the window for derbies hasn’t been the case. For five plus years, Liverpool have been the better team on paper going into the game and they have come out on top. I don’t think they are easy and you have to earn the right to get the result. I think the players will buoyed by their results this year, despite the loss to Bournemouth so they will be quietly confident.”

Liverpool haven’t lost against their local rivals since October 2010, and Ronald Koeman will be desperate for his side to buck that trend when they lock horns tomorrow night.
