The Liverpool ace has really struggled with injuries since moving to Anfield.
John Aldridge suggested that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be like a new singing for Liverpool next season, when speaking exclusively to the Irish Independent.
The 25-year-old, who currently earns £120,000 per week according to Spotrac, made just two substitute appearances for the Reds last season after returning from an ACL injury.
Liverpool really missed his energy and drive in the middle of the park last season, and had he been available for the entire campaign, who’s to say that the Merseyside outfit would not have won the league.
The Ox joined the Reds from Arsenal in the summer of 2017 for around £35 million, according to BBC Sport, but the Liverpool fans are still waiting to see the best of the England international.
Aldridge suggested that the 25-year-old could be a vitally important player for Liverpool next season, when speaking exclusively to the Irish Independent:
“The return of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from injury will feel like a new signing in midfield. If he starts performing at the levels he was producing before he picked up his long-term problem, he could be a very useful asset for Liverpool next season.”
If the Ox can avoid any serious injuries next season, he will undoubtedly be a real asset for Liverpool, and his talent is such that he could make all the difference for them in the race for the Premier League title, as they look to lift their first top flight crown since 1990.
