Trent Alexander-Arnold added yet another moment to his Liverpool highlight reel on Saturday as the Reds ran out 3-0 winners over Watford.

The Liverpool academy graduate has become Jurgen Klopp’s first-choice right back in the past 12 months, despite having only turned 20 last month.

On top of his great club displays and World Cup call-up as England reached the semi-finals of the competition, Alexander-Arnold is also in contention for the prestigious Golden Boy award.

Against the Hornets, the youngster delivered a moment of magic from 25 yards out, curling a sumptuous free kick over the opposition wall and into the back of Ben Foster’s net.

Alexander-Arnold’s second-half goal doubled Liverpool’s lead after Mohamed Salah had opened the scoring on 67 minutes, and Roberto Firmino’s late tap-in capped off the rout.

Luis Garcia, a Champions League winner with the Reds in 2005, took to Twitter to praise his former side for a “great win” against Watford.

In addition, the 40-year-old – on the books at Anfield between 2004 and 2007 – singled out Alexander-Arnold for his “class” free kick:

Garcia also asked Liverpool fans for their man of the match, and with a number of players being named instead of one standout man, it is testament to the quality throughout the team:

With Alexander-Arnold playing as he is and also expressing a desire to stay at Liverpool for his whole career (Sky Sports), it looks as though the Reds have a club legend in the making.
