Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are about to open talks with Fulham over signing Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur January transfer target Fabio Carvalho, according to 90min.

90min have reported that Liverpool, Leeds, West Ham United, Arsenal, Tottenham and Southampton all are interested in signing Carvalho from Fulham this month.

Liverpool are now ‘set to win the race’ for the 19-year-old attacker, according to the report.

The Reds will now reportedly open talks to sign Carvalho and believe that he is ready to play for the first team this season.

Carvalho, who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder, is out of contract at Fulham at the end of the season.

Leeds should bid for Liverpool target Fabio Carvalho

In our view, if Leeds are keen on Carvalho now, then the Whites should make a bid for England Under-18 international and try to beat Liverpool.

Yes, of course, Liverpool are very appealing and attractive to any footballer, but Leeds are a massive club as well.

Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa has given chances to a lot of teenagers this season.

In our view, that is certainly encouraging for any young player looking to make an impact in the Premier League.

Now, of course, things could change, especially next season, but we think that Leeds should still try for Carvalho.

Carvalho has made 14 starts and three substitute appearances in the Championship for Fulham so far this season.

The teenager has scored seven goals and provided three assists in those games.
